Captain Ryan Mathers, retired, expected his world to be different when he left the army. What he didn’t expect was the world he would be retiring into.
He had come full circle, injured in service, finding love through a chance meeting, only to have it torn away in the cruelest way possible. Now he has to start again and fulfill the hardest promise he has ever made.
There had been pandemics before, but nothing like what was about to be unleashed. Humanity recently won a long running battle with COVID-19, but now something far more sinister was stirring.
Will humanity pull through, or is this time the end?

Times End

Fans of dystopian shows like The Walking Dead or The Last of Us will find plenty to love in Times End. R. Prior's character-driven survival drama feels like a mirror held up to society during the lockdown years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior's writing is crisp and concise, wasting no words to get to the heart of the story and put the reader into the midst of the action. All the major characters have brief backstories that drive their actions and define their personalities. The dynamic between Ryan, Bella, Jake, and Tash feels genuine and relatable, acting as an anchor around which the story revolves. Readers who love dystopian survival tales will devour this with relish.

About Rod Prior

Rod Prior can usually be found reading a book, and that book will more likely than not be a science fiction adventure or a fantasy romance novel. Writing a novel was always on his bucket list, and eventually, with the release of the Cassian Princess Series, it became a reality. The Gathering is a gripping, erotic fantasy story which will leave you spell bound. Arcane Rising, Born Mage is an interesting read, combining magic and science fiction.
His new novels concentrate on science fiction and he is keen to investigate some out of this world ideas. Times End is a dystopian novel, a world which we never want to see, but maybe we will. When not absorbed in the latest gripping page-turner, Rod loves cooking, and otherwise spends far too much time at the computer. He lives in Australia, with his wife and extended family.
